More USA pride - swimmer Missy Franklin. Won multiple gold medals, and she's only 17 years old.
I also think she's quite pretty, which is also part of why I chose to draw her. Again, a quick, one-day drawing, with reference photo but no grids. Much smaller drawing too.

Oh wow, this is really great. It really does look like her and it's really impressive that you did this without grids or anything. Your shading is really great, especially in her face and hair. If I had to give a critique, I would say be careful with the lines coming down from her nose and also, you might be able to do some highlighting on the suit instead of having it shaded uniformly. But this is really really awesome!
